I apologize for the lack of updates this weekend, but as I said on Friday our tech team has been busy working on our data migration so that the network can grow. With that said we should be back on top of things in the next few days as they work out any glitches that may come of the migration.

Besides that it’s been a busy weekend working around the house and doing some really late spring cleaning that is well over due. Hell, most of the other Metal blogs take the weekends off anyway. I’m one of the few that keeps updates rolling on the weekends the best I can. This weekend’s been kind of slow for news anyway.

Sometime this week I will hopefully be able to get an advance listen to the new All That Remains and get a review of it up.  A week from Thursday is the Carcass show and I may be talking to Mike Amott sometime before then about his Randall Amp. That’s going to be a blast and hopefully I will be able to get some good pictures.

Megadeth’s Peace Sells…But Who’s Buying? will be available for full album download for Rock Band 2 as well as the title track already being on the disk. I don’t own Rock Band and I rarely play Guitar Hero anymore, but I think this is pretty cool. I would love to play Black Friday, Devils Island, Wake Up Dead, and the obvious Peace Sells…

Rob Halford of some band that no one has ever heard of…wants to see a full blown theatrical production of Nostradamus. You know I think that would be something to see. Although I haven’t been to a theater show since high school when it was a mandatory thing, I have always liked a good stage performance. Yeah, I know that doesn’t sound very “Metal” but who gives a shit? Some theater performances are cool whether you want to admit it or not. This would be something cool to see. I didn’t give Nostradamus a great review because it wasn’t the metal album I thought it would be, but it is still a great album, music wise. Some of the songs seem like they are too long at moments but it’s still a great album. He said that the band just wants to take it to the road and play the songs, but in the long run he would like to see a “Completely over the f*cking top” production. We’ll see if it leads up to that.

No doubt that at least some of you have read about the blogger over at Antiquiet.com that was arrested by the FBI for leaking some Chinese Democracy songs on the Internet. Well the L.A. Times interviewed Saul “Slash” Hudson, former Guns N Roses guitar player (as if you didn’t know) and he had this to say:

“I hope he rots in jail,” Slash told the Los Angeles Times.”It’s going to affect the sales of the record, and it’s not fair. The Internet is what it is, and you have to deal with it accordingly, but I think if someone goes and steals something, it’s theft.

This really pissed me off. I’m not saying what the dude (Kevin Cogill, AKA Skwerl) did was right and legal, but how does that bible verse go? “He who is without sin…STFU because your a god damned liar!”. I doubt if Slash ever reads my pages but if he does I hope he sees my comment from The Rock Dose that says the following:

“F*ck you, Saul. Surely you have done worse and got away with it. You know what’s going to effect record sales? The fact that this has been sitting on the shelf for 13 years. Trust me, even though a few songs leaked on the Internet, Chinese Democracy will probably sell well over 100,000 copies in it’s first week, hell maybe even the first few days, just because of all the hype. You holier than thou douche bag! You’ve probably screwed under-age girls, done more drugs than most addicts, even admitted to dealing drugs yourself, asshole! Have you ever served time or have been fined for any of that? By the way…The Snake Pit sucked!”

Seriously, who the hell does this dude think he is? Like he’s never committed a crime? Jerk-off!
