All That Remains Phil Labonte Gives an Update On "Overcome" Coming In September
Phil Labonte, the frontman of All That Remains has posted a new blog in his personal MySpace.com page and states the following on the state of the new record coming in September:
So we’ve been here for nearly a month. Pre pro the first week, drums the next, guitars, bass is in progress. Mike has a flight home on Tuesday so he’s gonna do solos today and tomorrow. Then more bass, overdubs to thicken the guitars, add lead lines and solos after that. Then clean guitars and acoustics (we’re gonna have a 12 string on the record. How cool is that?!). I don’t have all the lyrics done yet and that was intentional. I don’t want to go and write all kinds of stuff, get all attached to it, and then have to change the flow of the lyrics or re-write stuff so it fits. Better to get as many good ideas as we can together for all the parts I’m gonna be singing in and work it out when we do it. That way we still have lots of ideas to work with but if it’s not workin we can go ahead and change it without too much hassling of the hoff. I am getting stuff together so it goes fast but there is still plenty of time left till I have to start so things they will change. More updates to come!
I’ll keep updating as long as I get them.

They’re all good. This Darkened Heart, Fall Of Ideals and even Behind Silence and Solitude. Behind Silence And Solitude is a bit heavier without so much of a metalcore of today feel and it’s a little harder to listen to than the his Darkened Heart and Fall Of Ideals.
