Arsis Forced To Cancel Tour With Carcass
March 8, 2009 by Scott
Every time I listen to We Are The Nightmare, I ask myself why I don’t listen to this album more. The album is amazing but I always seem to forget about it somehow.
We all know that Arsis is the James Malone band. He’s the only original member and many member, even in the last year have either quit or have been “Let go”. Some say they’re leaving to finish their college degree, while other site musical differences and/or clash of personality. It kind of makes you wonder how difficult James Malone is to work with. You never really know until you hear both sides of the story and even then you don’t really know.
In a recent update at Blabbermouth current Arsis drummer David Kinkade announced that Arsis will not be on the upcoming Carcass tour due to
“situations in Arsis that are out of my hands.” and “major personal and communication issues in this band that need be resolved before anything can continue as ARSIS.“. That makes it sound as if things in Arsis are pretty shaky at the moment. He also offered up his services as a session and possible long term drummer.
This is a chance for Arsis to tour with Carcass! This is like a once in a lifetime opportunity for them. Sadly for them they won’t get to do it. Sadly for Arsis fans they won’t get to see them either. We may know in the coming weeks if Arsis is going to split or if James Malone is just going to find other musicians. We’ll just have to wait and see.

This is a dark, dark day for metal. Or I guess since that would be a good thing, it’s a happy sunshine day with rainbows in the metal world.
Thanks for reporting it, but man, you bummed me out for the day.
All signs point to James Malone being an asshole.
Is James the new Axl?
Yeah, that’s what I’m thinking. I doubt he’ll take 15 years to put out the next Arsis album though.
