Arsis’ James Malone Comes Clean In Noisecreep Exclusive

April 6, 2009 by Scott

Arsis2008h James Malone released a press release a couple of weeks ago when he announced that he had a health problem that had a lot to do with moderation. He mentioned that he lost and ungodly amount of weight in a short period of time. Most people to include myself suspected drugs. I suspected meth as it’s a huge epidemic everywhere and often musicians get tied up in to it. Others suspected cocaine. What I really didn’t suspect was what he revealed in in an exclusive interview with Noisecreep.com’s Carlos Ramirez. Here is just a sliver of the interview, but it’s great that he cleared the air and I look forward to more Arsis.

CR: You recently released a press release trying to explain all of the cancellations and trouble Arsis has had in the last year. But it raised more questions and started more rumors than anything. Would you like to set the record straight once and for all?

James Malone: This is really tough for me to talk about. I don’t even know where to begin in all honesty. I just want to start off by saying that I don’t have a drug problem of any kind. I know a lot of people were saying that when I released that press statement. The truth is I’ve had anorexia for the past year or so. It’s not the first time I’ve gone through it either.

Anorexia is more common in guys than one might think. It’s sometimes called “Manorexia”. I’m not here to give you a lesson in Men’s Health, though. It’s just good to see that he wants to get things back on track. Read the entire interview at Noisecreep.
