Bloodbath’s ‘Weak Aside’

unblessingthepurity So if you don’t know who Bloodbath is then this is what I can tell you. Bloodbath is Swedish death metal. A bad ass band made up from members of Katatonia and Opeth, particularly Michael Akerfeldt on vocals. Recently just releasing a live CD/DVD called The Wacken Carnage, they also released a 4 song EP through Peaceville Records called Unblessing The Purity. Later this year there will be a full length studio album called The Fathomless Mastery.

One of the songs from the Ep called Weak Aside can be heard below through the Songza player. I first heard it on the $4.99 cd Metal Edge August 2008 compilation that comes with a free sh*tty magazine. Anyway, I was hooked on Bloodbath. It brutal, deep and hell…it’s Swedish Death Metal. You can’t really go wrong there. Have a listen…

    yeah, i quite enjoy them, (expecially ressurection through carnage.) I like their vocals. what other bands would you say are the most similar to them? -log

    I am proud to say, i’ve been listening to Bloodbath for quite a while now… from their first ep to this latest one. ‘Unblessing the Purity is some absolutely fantastic death metal

    I was looking for the new EP today at FYE and only found the lkive Wacken cd… but I think It’s only available through peaceville.
