Blood Loss 2008 Demos Review

by User ImageMetal Martyr on June 14th, 2008

bloodloss I don’t know if anyone has had a chance to check out the Blood loss re-intro I did the other day. If you haven’t I would suggest taking a look at their myspace and listen to the new demos. If you listened awhile back and didn’t like the rough songs they had up there visit again and check out the demos for The Mistake, Rendered Useless and The Spectacle Of Fearsome Acts.

Let me first start by saying that the quality of these demos are great. The first song, The Mistake starts out with a heavy growl and chugging rhythm riffs with Pantera-esque vocals. The vocals I can best explain as to sounding similar to Visions Of Disorder and a little Sick Of It All. A good low hardcore sounding scream. The rhythm riffs in The Mistake are hard edge and the drums sound great.

Rendered Useless starts out with an onslaught of double bass and then breaks into blast beats with variation of guitar rhythms that keep it interesting with a cool little stereo effect in the mix.

The Spectacle Of Fearsome acts has an eerie beginning and then rips a heavy fast paced thrash/deathmetal/hardcore beat with a cool cool galloping bridge in it that eventually leads into a real thrashing riff and Halford style falsetto scream.

I’d like to see these guys live some time and would love to hear a full length album. There are so many bands out there that deserve a good label and Blood Loss is one of them.
