British invasion: Diamond Head
One of the leading bands of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal was Diamond Head. In 1976 Diamond Head was formed by Brian Tatler And Duncan Scott, two school friends, and later hired Sean Harris as their vocals. Bass duties would be covered by Colin Kimberly after various others had come and gone.
After nine years and much influence on bands such as Metallica and Megadeth the band called it quits. This didn’t last very long though. The band reformed in 1991 and worked with both Metallica and Mustaine on various projects…but once again disbanded in 1994. Then in 2000, Tatler and Harris got back together and did some acoustic touring…but then Harris departed and was replaced by Nick Tart in 2004.
2005 Diamond Head released All Will Be Revealed with new vocalist and went on tour with Megadeth. Still going strong, Diamond Head released a new record in 2007 called What’s In Your head? and released a limited 2000 copy release of Borrowed Time and Canterbury on CD, the first time outside of Japan. (Why does Japan always get the good stuff). They are also currently touring Europe. If you want to know more about Diamond Head you can either visit Diamond-head.net or Diamond head on Wikipedia
