Buy An Hour With Steve Vai, To Benefit Lit Drummer

September 29, 2008 by Scott

steve vai_nc Steve Vai is auctioning off a one hour guitar lesson to benefit Lit drummer Allen Shellenberger, who has been diagnosed with a grade 4 malignant brain tumor. The funds will offset medical costs that Shellenberger may incur during his fight with the cancer.

This is a great cause and everything but I’m going to break from the depressing side of this and question, How many people would actually learn anything from an hour of guitar lessons from Steve Vai and how many people would actually just want to kick back for an hour with the guitar virtuoso, maybe drink a bear and chug out some power chords while he rips some crazy lead?

Put your bid in eBay

yea thats true. wat could u really learn in an hr? he should auction off a week worth of lessons or a guitar or something. Wheres the association between the 2 tho, thats what im trying to figure out. Lit is like a 90’s alt band and Steve is just Steve. but yeah I’d much rather jam out with him then a one time lesson any day

I should have put this in there, but I was too busy actually thinking about what I would do if I bid and won something like this.

Steve is working with the “Make A Noise Foundation” that I guess works to helps musicians with medical expenses. Wish they had this back When Death’s Chuck Schuldiner was sick.

O ok that makes sense. Thats a worthy cause.
