Grammy-nominated rockers Skillet released their newest album, Awake, on August 25th, 2009. Over the past 13 years, Skillet has helped to redefine Christian rock with their genre busting albums and constant touring. Awake is the follow up to their 2006 hit album Comatose, which was nominated for a Grammy (their second nomination).
In 2008, longtime drummer Lori Peters announced her retirement after training her replacement, current drummer and backup vocalist Jen Ledger. With Jen’s influence, Awake came alive.
