CD Review: Killswitch Engage, As Daylight Dies SE

adldse.jpgFirst off, I’m not big on special edition CD’s because I usually buy the CD when it first comes out and then later a special edition comes out with a jacked up price and some crappy extra demos on it. The only reason I bought this was because I got a great deal on it. As we all know you can;t find this or any other Special edition CD for less that, lets say 24 bucks unless you buy it online, but then you pay shipping charges. Good Old Walmart had this priced at $15.88! The same price as the original CD. I thought that I better take advantage of it because I like the Holy Diver cover and I was interested in the other 3 studio track on the cd and the videos.

I’m satisfied, not only with the price but the cd itself. The extra studio tracks are great songs. They are typical KSE type songs, kinda metalcore/emo’ish but really good songs. The holy diver cover as we all know kicks ass as does the video. The other videos are just as you see them on MTV2 but with some “Making Of”content.

The rest of the cd is awesome as it always was when it came out. Now I know there are a truckload of KSE haters out there that will disagree with me, but I don’t care. If you haven’t picked up As Daylight Dies yet and plan too, save a few more bucks and buy the special edition. The Special Editions for The End Of Heartache and Alive Or Just Breathing are worth picking up too.
