Chimaira Name Their New Album "Wrath"

Could you imagine if that was true? Lamb Of God would probably sue them or something. Not that Chimaira could out-do LOG or anything. The new album will be called “The Infection” and will come out on April 21st via Ferret Music. I think I’ll have to give Resurrection another spin and see if it’s grown on me at all since the last time….

heh, nice job draging me into this post with that title. when I read that, all I could think of was that band in October that released an album called Chinese Democracy.
I figured that would get a few people. Unfortunately for that other Chinese Democracy album it didn’t sell as well as G N’ R.
what about the vocals dont you like? just curious.. the slightly higher pitched screams? or is it the lyrics?
I think it’s because it sound too forced and dry or something. I don’t mind higher toned screams as there are a lot of bands that I listen to with higher pitched scream vocals. There’s just something about it that I can’t get in to. I dig some of the backing vocals. It’s as if he’s screaming more from the throat and not so much the gut. I just don’t really know why I can get into the voice because I like everything else around it.

Man funny – I got into Chimaira originally for the awesome MUSIC (hard but clever) but I love the vocals now!!
I can’t stand some of these other metal bands with their high-pitched wailing singers – I think Mark’s vocals are lower, gutteral and best of all – mean as fuck!!! My new favourite band for sure!
