Dimebag Darrell Picture Book In The Works

According to Blabbermouth.net, a Dimebag Darrell picture book is in the works:

A picture book celebrating the life of late PANTERA/DAMAGEPLAN guitarist “Dimebag” Darrell Abott compiled by his brother, Vinnie Paul Abbott (HELLYEAH, PANTERA, DAMAGEPLAN) and father, Jerry Abbott, is scheduled for release this summer. Also in the works is the follow-up to the DVD “DimeVision - Vol 1: That’s The Fun I Have”.

Now I’m all about the fact that for the past 3 and a half years manufacturers, magazines and just about anyone are still milking his name and death and at some point, someone has got to say enough is enough. However this is a picture book being put together by his father and brother and I highly doubt they are sitting around trying to come up with ways to make money off Dime’s death. This is a tribute in pictures to the late great. I love seeing old pictures of Dime just as much as everyone else. There are big differences between tributes and marketing. It costs money to make things like picture books, DVD’s and bronze statues. So before your go spouting off with the “stop the milking” comments on every news board and forum that posts this news, know the difference between tributes and marketing.
