Family Values

These days its sometimes difficult to spend some good quality time with the family. My Solution? Guitar Hero! I mention awhile back that I just recently got into Guitar Hero. All three games and three guitars later and I find that it’s one of the best ways to spend some time with the family. My wife is improving greatly from the first time she picked up the guitar and my son loves it but is yet to really want to challenge himself with the medium level, but he does well and even gets into it a bit too much and starts talking trash to his mother when he does better. Naturally I have to step in and blow them both out of the water…and talk my own trash afterwards.
Guitar Hero 3 looks to be promising. I love the new les paul style controller and can’t wait to rock Metallica’s One. I Need to perfect my medium level before I move on to hard…getting used to that extra buttom is not easy.
Guitar Hero Encore Rock the 80’s brings back memories and I can’t wait to see what else GH3 has in store for us…

I love playing Guitar Hero. Mainly because like you said, it’s something that everyone can do and have fun with. They have some pretty good songs on them too, and it’s a good way to let others learn about some bands that they normally wouldn’t listen to.

I was playing GH2 last night. I like it better than GH3. I guess because it has LOG and ATR on it along with hanger 18, freya and a lot of other great songs.

Yea GH2 has much better metal songs. But the Lamb Of God “Laid To Rest” cover that they put in that game isn’t exactly the best one they’ve done. Mainly the vocals are pretty off from the original. Oh well, it’s still fun to play in GH2, and of course I was really psyched to see “Six” on there when I first got it.

Well Randy is not easiest person to impersonate vocals for. Six always pisses me off because of the timing and I don’t quite have it down yet.
