Fangs Are The New Tattoo… WTF?

Tampa’s rock band Soulidium announces the return of front man Michael McKnight from a trip to Miami where he visited friend and world-famous cosmetic dentist Dr. Julio Hernandez. Michael’s wife, Angela D’Angeles McKnight, creator of rock/goth site ViciousAngelz.com, enlisted the expertise of Dr. Hernandez to perform the procedure that gave her permanent vampire fangs. The couples’ extreme modifications make them the first official vampire couple of rock/metal.
“Fangs are the new tattoo,” Michael McKnight declares. “I believe that not long from now, you will see a movement of vampire culture everywhere. Vampires are definitely fucking metal and I predict that the face of rock is about to change into something nobody has ever seen before.”
Angelina’s vampiric transformation will be featured in an upcoming episode of “The Addiction,” Soulidium’s self-produced, new rock and metal variety show which will be syndicated across the Internet and hosted by the band and the gorgeous ladies of ViciousAngelz.com. Episodes will be online starting in August 2008.
Having been together for over 2 years now, the dynamic gothic couple has fought an inspiring uphill battle against all odds to bring Soulidium into the limelight and to establish their new independent record label, Dark Knight Entertainment. Dark Knight Entertainment is part of the ADA/Warner Music Group and provides major distribution for bands.
Soulidium recently returned from a first tour run with Sevendust, where the dynamic horror-based group slammed audiences with their performance, video, sound, and continued to establish a dedicated fan base as they promoted their debut release Children of Chaos.
The song was featured on the Saw IV soundtrack alongside artists like Avenged Sevenfold, Ministry, Drowning Pool, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, and Emilie Autumn. On July 29th, Soulidium will re-join Sevendust for another tour with Alter Bridge and Nonpoint. O man that is gay-tarded… i’m really getting tired of metalheads having towear a certain uniform to be “metal”. Me, I just dress like I always have, and listen to Strapping young lad or children of bodom. I don’t need freaking fangs.

that should sum up everything about the band quite nicely.
I don’t get why you need all these body modifications to be considered metal. what happened to enjoying the music?

gay-tarded…thats a new one. lol. Some bands try too hard to bring a shocking image to their lifestyle. The bands that do it as part of their show like kiss, sliknot, mushroomhead, etc. and shed that shit when they leave the stage, that’s one thing…but this dude is just wierd…not to mention a bit foolosh if he thinks fangs are the “New tattoo”

Why is it cool for bands who “shed” that shit after they get off the stage? I don’t see the harm in it. It seems pretty cool and I have a friend who also got them. I got to say they are pretty cool. I think what is “gay” is Brendan and Scott. Metal has always had an extreme nature to it. They hated on Marylin as well when he came out. I see no harm. You guys are pretty gay and close minded for metal minded lads. Im off to check out the music. The video from saw was pretty good.

I don’t know. I am just a plain metal fan and what I see here is a guy who hates popular music (Tate) and another guy (Jeff) who prefers bands who play a role on stage. That makes no sense. I would rather see a rock star who is their real self all the time. There is alot to be said about people who are not scared to be who they are. I think “new tattoo” means that he thinks fangs are going to be another form of expression like piercings, gages, etc. I like the group and am sure if they were too gay they would not be out with a stellar group like Sevendust. i say rock on Soulidium. Fuck the haters. the world will always be full of them as long as there are bitter failures out there.

Get fangs, whatever dude. Do whatever you have to do to make you feel cooler than you really are. It’s always nice to have something to compensate.

Did something I say strike a nerve? how do you know how cool the guy really is? do you know him or his girlfriend? do you know what it is he is compensating for? have you hung out with him? I bet you don’t know his band or him from adam. Further proof that you are talking out your ass. Sarcasm I learned last week in psychology class is a way to stray attention away from the truth many times. Maybe you should go throw on an Ozzy album and remember the good old days when you used to be young and cool. Shut up before you make yourself look stupider. If that is possible.

I didn’t see your comment before I wrote mine, it was in moderation and I just approved it a second ago.
Did you also learn in psychology class that people that feel a need to express themselves excessively are just attention starved. You can express yourself without making yourself look like Nosferatu.
I’m just saying that if your music is cool, no one will give a shit what you look like. But if your music sucks all your left with is a gimmick and gimmicks can only get you so far.

I think the fangs are cool, and a neat idea. I’m happy she was able to find someone to put them in for her, because in like the 50s you probably would be thrown in a funny farm for wanting something like that. I just have to laugh though when he said “Vampires are fucking metal” XD
