God Forbid’s Dallas Coyle: "F*ck John McCain"

God Forbid’s Dallas Coyle may not be everyone’s favorite metal celebrity, but I have to agree with most everything he talks about when he makes his weekly blog entry over at Metalsucks.net. In this case he goes in depth in his case of why Barack Obama is a reasonable choice and the rumors and allegations against him from the John McCain campaign.

"We have to be clear about what this election means to America and our future. All of the people out there who say Obama is  a socialist, get your fucking head checked. He’s a CONSTITUTIONAL lawyer. Socialism is a dirty word to throw out there to scare people. Most people who use that word don’t even know what it means or what it would mean to be a socialist society. It would never happen in America, you fucking geniuses."

Every election campaign is based upon the promises that neither candidate can truly know if they will be able to keep or not. McCain nor Obama can really say that they can fix our economy in the current state that is it in, but they can face the issue and make viable suggestions as to what they think needs to be done in order to make a valid attempt to repair the situation. In my opinion as I have sat here and watched these debates as they have come, John McCain has done nothing but dance around the issues and given half-answers but mainly focusing on his smear campaign with limited statistics and reasons why Barack Obama shouldn’t be president. Instead of coming up with well thought out answers to the questionable issues and convince us why HE should be president. He has yet to convince me that he’s the one. What he’s going to do to fix the situation and reduce spending in foreign countries. How he is going to get us out of Iraq and focus more on the country that needs to attention, AMERICA.

I’m a military veteran of 13 years. I may not be a war vet, but I have still served and know what it’s like to always have that possibility under your feet of deploying to some foreign country to help bail them out of some screwed up situation in the name of "America’s Freedom". I support our troops, but I don’t support this war and I feel that a lot of our men and women in uniform have died for the wrong reasons. I don’t buy this "McCain was a prisoner of war" campaign and that Obama has never served in the military so he’s not a good candidate. Some of our best presidents didn’t serve, but we got through hard times and persevered. It can be done again. Clinton was a shady dude, but our economy was at it’s best during his era.

Now most Republicans wouldn’t vote for a Democrat if a gun was put to their head. Why? Because they are ignorant to reality. It’s time to pull our heads out of our fecal cavities and use our brains instead of voting another war-mongering, budget blowing dumb-ass in to office….again. I’m not saying Obama is an angelic figure with nothing but great ideas and policies, but he’s the lesser of two evils.
