GRIP Inc.

You ever wonder what Dave Lombardo was doing during his years away from Slayer. Most people know, but I’m sure there are a few out there that haven’t a clue. Grip Inc. formed in 1993 with member Dave Lombardo on drums, Gus Chambers on vocals, Waldemar Sorychta on guitars/ keyboards and Jason Wiebrooks on Bass. Their first record released in 1995, Power Of Inner Strength on Metalblade Records was a hard hitting, heavy thrash metal album that was relentless from beginning to end just to followed up with an equally heavy Nemesis in 1997. With various line up changes on guitars and bass, they went on to release 2 more recording with Solidify in 1999 and Incorporated in 2004 (Both of which I don’t have and haven’t heard) before going on hiatus. Current members still include Lombardo, Chambers and Sorychta, but the future for the band is still unknown with Lombardo’s return to Slayer. Due to legal reasons, the band has not made an effort to use a new or session drummer and are in no hurry to return to the studio or touring.
