Guitar Hero: World Tour
When I first saw this article at Metal Hammer I started to get excited…and then I started to worry. The Following block quotes are from Metalhammer.co.uk. You can check out the trailer for the game below.
“Obviously, most important of all are the songs and while track titles are yet to be announced, we do know that the game will feature Van Halen, The Eagles, Sublime and Linkin Park. News on top of this mentions that ‘hip-hop’ and ‘alternative’ are being used as genres so the game will be reaching out into the world of rap for the first time. As you would expect, this game will also feature more tracks than ever before.”
I mean, I like some Van Halen, some Eagles and a lot of Sublime…but mixing in the Linkin Park and Hip Hop? I guess they are trying to reach out to a bigger crowd perhaps and be more competitive with Rock Band and you can’t blame them.
“As well as this exciting news, there’s also the confirmation that this game will also feature a wireless drum kit and microphone for vocals. All of these different instruments will feature a career mode and, for the first time, you will be able to play a bass guitar career mode.”
Online play will also include you being able to put together your own band (guitar, vocals, bass and drums) and take part in a ‘Battle Of The Bands’ against people from all over the world.
Regardless of what I think right now of what they are saying about Guitar Hero: World Tour, there is no doubt that it’s probably going to kick ass. No release date has been set but they are thinking that it may come out the last quarter of the year.
