GWAR Invades Billboard Top 200

Gwar’s new album, the excellent Lust in Space, has debuted at #96 on the Bilboard Top 200 chart, making this their highest rated release ever and bringing the Scumdogs one step closer to their goal of world domination.
Vocalist Oderus Urungus had this to say about GWAR’s triumphant release:
“We are appalled, shocked, outraged, and completely ecstatic over GWAR’s latest master-work, “LUST IN SPACE” debuting at # 96 in the Billboard Charts…in keeping with my finally confirmed uber-rock star status, I have already vomited on Lindsay Lohan’s puss, visited the the Obama girls, and sodomized Carrot-Top. And there was much rejoicing. But 96? That’s just not going to do it…GWAR and Metal Blade Records plan to keep on with this relentless assault until we go all the way to # 95!”

ahhh Gwar…they always put on such a fun show. my favorite memory of going to a Gwar show was seeing them at this dive bar in Allentown, PA. they played with Electric Hellfire Club and I sat at the bar next to Slymenstra Hymen and Sabrina Satana. It doesn’t get much cooler than that. I went home that night covered in blood and goop. The true mark of every good Gwar show is if you have to throw away the clothes you were wearing that night–and I did.
I’m going to see them for the first time with Lamb of God on September 27. I’m friggin stoked.
I have to wait until the October 21st show. I haven’t been to a Gwar show since 1995 or 96 and I’ve yet to see Lamb of God. Needless to say…I’m friggin stoked too.
