Hatebreed’s Live Dominance Dominating The Billboard Charts
September 10, 2008 by Scott
Hatebreed’s Live DVD ‘Live Doiminance” is #1 on the Billbaord Top Music Video charts in it’s first week, selling over 5000 copies. Hatebreed is halfway through a short tour to promote the DVD. They were actually advised to not go on tour during this time to promote the video because the timeframe wasn’t good with school back in session. Let me tell you though that this is a band that has some loyal fans that will make it to a show regardless of the day and time.
Jamie Jasta had this to say: “HATEBREED fans are #1. They have helped us do something very cool and we are extremely grateful for this. Our supporters are as diehard as they come.”
Bass player Chris Beattie, stated: “Having the #1 DVD in the country is a great sense of accomplishment knowing how hard we have worked this year. This shows that metal and hardcore are still alive and well. Thanks to all our fans for your support.”
Let me say something about Chris Beattie real quick and I mean no disrespect by this. I honestly don’t think I saw Chris play the bottom two strings of his guitar on Sunday night. I’m not calling him out or saying that he’s not a good bass player. The music style of Hatebreed just doesn’t require it I guess. But I wasn’t like watching him every second of the night, so maybe he does use the two bottoms, I don’t know. I’m just saying. It was a bad ass show and the energy was through the roof. I have not yet bought the DVD yet. They had it at the show for $20 and it came with a bunch of other stuff and a chance to get it signed by the band but I wanted a T-shirt and had to save some cash for Carcass tomorrow night.
