In Memory Of Celtic Frost
In 1996 Dwell Records released a tribute album to Celtic Frost titled In Memory Of Celtic Frost. Who knew some years later they would reunite just to disband (Sort of) again this year. The remaining band members say they are still a band, but can we really call them Celtic Frost without Thomas Gabriel Fischer?
In Memory Of Celtic Frost has some of the best songs by Celtic Frost covered by some of the greatest Metal, Black Metal and Death Metal bands. Bands such as Mayhem, Emporer, Grave, Opeth and Slaughter, just to name a few. If you’ve ever been a fan of Celtic Frost or Black/Death Metal, then give In Memory Of Celtic Frost a listen. It’s a great tribute album. My favorite track is Enslaved’s cover of Procreation Of The Wicked and I was stoked to hear Sepultura cover it on the Blood Rooted album in 1997. Track list after the fold.
- Morgion - Innocence And Wrath / The Usuper
- Enslaved - Procreation Of The Wicked
- Slaughter - Dethroned Emporer
- Mayhem - Visual Aggression
- Inner Thought - Morbid Tales
- Sadistic Intent - Return To The Eve
- Cianide - Dawn Of Maggido
- Divine Eve - Visions Of Mortality
- Grave - Mesmerized
- Apollyon’s Sun - Babylon Fell
- Opeth - Circle Of The Tyrants
- Closedown - Danse Macabre
- Emporer - Massacra
- 13 - Triumph Of Death
