Iron Maiden’s Somewhere Back In Time , The Best Of 1980-1989 is released today. While it has a really cool cover I just have to say that this track list is getting old. On almost every Iron Maiden best of CD there are always the same tracks. This time there are a few more live ones on there than usual but still. It’s starting to be a little “Kiss-ish” to me. Honeslty how many times can you make the same cd with a new cover and sell it? Track list after the fold.

The only song off this one I’d listen to is Run to the Hills……love me some Bruce Dickinson….
There are plenty of good songs on it…it’s just that they are the same sangs as usual…nothing new…just a new cover.
I’m a huge Maiden fan but I have to agree. How many ‘best of’ albums does Maiden need?
You need the whole album for all Maiden of this era. This ‘best of’ is useless.
i don’t know why they put a best of ,with only few & old songs.If you make a best of ,you will take all the powerfull kickass no not the oldies.This is my Maiden best of : 1-wickerman/ 2-stranger in a strange land /3-moonchild/ 4-the mercenary/5-dreams of mirrors/6-Fear of the dark/7-transylvania/8-numberof the beast/9-deja-vu/ 10-flight of icarus..For example..the best Maiden it’s when you mix it up yourself or when it’s covered by black métal bands like “Necrophobic-Moonchild” or “Graveworm-Fear of the dark” kickass cover
