WTF?!??!? I just don’t understand what the hell is going on! Why Is Nikki Sixx getting all this media lately. So what, he wrote a book about how big and stupid of a heroin addict he was. Let’s give every drug addict a book deal and put it into the scholastic book orders for our kids to read in 4th grade!
What part of Solo Careers and Motley Crue Members just don’t mix, don’t you understand. Vince Neil should have told you…it doesn’t work. Tommy Lee should have told you three time, (Mothers Of Mayhem…pppbbbbbbbb! Tommy Lee…ppppbbbbb!, Supernova…ppppbbbb.) It doesn’t work. If Mick Mars had a solo career it’s obvious that it didn’t work cause I haven’t heard of his yet..perhaps he’s the only one that figured that algorithm out. But it just may have been the fact that his bone disorder kept him from pursuing a dead end solo career. I don’t know. Brides of destruction sucked, that should have been Sixx’s first clue. Even Motley Crue with a new singer failed, we all know that!
Sixx A.M. Is not as bad as I imagined it was going to be…but it was still bad. So I say, stick to what works. Motley Crue works. Even if your touring doing all the old shit. Its still better than dumping a boatload of money into a solo career that goes nowhere. Sure sometimes you have to take risks in life, but at the same time you need to learn from others downfalls. I give you a big fat valley girl HELLOOOO!
To the media thats giving him all this coverage. I guess its cool to flaunt addicts these days because addiction sells. Dave Mustaine had a heroin addiction for year and years that he wasn’t proud of it and when he finally kicked it he didn’t have a press conference. He may have written a few songs about it but in no way was he proud of it. Most people that have addictions just want to put it behind them and tear that chapter out of their book of life, not cash in on it. Grow up, your 49 years old, for christ sake! There are a million people out there that have kicked addiction. Should we give them a book deal? Oh thats right, we only give celebrity addicts book deals because that makes things interesting. Does it? I had a friend that turned himself and his wife into heroin addicts and ended up losing custody of their child because of it and then he died from an overdose. Did I find that interesting? No, in fact I don’t think he would have wanted it publicized, but his wife is sober as far as I know and she has custody of their daughter. It’s real…not real TV!
They should just write a new book about the whole band called “Addicts, Murderers, and Porn Stars”. Its sad what sells these days…and by the way…your hair cut is as bad as your record!
Mmmm – don’t be mean to my Nikki. LOL You’re right, I don’t want to hear about *yet another* celebrity’s drug problems – but does it have pictures?

Hmmm.. doesnt appear to me that Nikki is “Flaunting” he is an addict in recovery.. that is NOT what this project is all about! He Isnt Cashing in on this Project. He also works with the Covenant House /Runnin Wild in the Night, giving those at risk youth/runaways an outlet while they are there!He is bringing awareness to both addicts and recovering addicts. it’s all part of the healing process for many! Vince didnt make it.. because he cant sing.. he forgets the words to most of the songs.. and lets NOT forget how his stupidity Caused the Death of Razzle from Hanoi Rocks, and he got off easy with 20 days Jail.
this is pure stupidity, you have misunderstood it all. Why the heck would he want to cash in on a solo career, maybe he actually likes making music instead of trying to destroy for everyone else like you do! He is one tough guy not a random jerk addict, and he lives to tell about it. And some people that actually do care for others, their idols or have experienced the same think this is interesting, and it is!
So stop trying to make a fool of random people!
And John Corabi do sing alot better than Vince neil.

yeaa the new motley crue albums do suck, but still, have you heard all the songs from the cd with john corabi? there is veeery few people that have, because you can’t find em anywhere, and he is so underrated. But those songs are really great!
Well It has been 14 years since I was 18 last even listened to the John Corabi version of Motley Crue and I vividly remember that I didn’t like it then. However it has been a long time I have found other CDs that I didn’t like back then to be more appealing these days so Maybe I’ll give it a listen again some time.
You should. There are also 3 unreleased tracks in the album (hypnotized, babykills & livin’ in the know). Most people didn’t like it the first time they hear it, I didn’t either. But after listening to it a couple of times I loved it. Same thing as motley crue said in interviews, the album was way ahead of their time so people couldn’t keep up fast enough..
I find your opinion interesting, and I’m keeping an open mind. While I have purchased and read the book (Heroin Diaries) and bought the SIXX AM CD, I’m not glorifying Nikki Sixx. I could relate to some of it, being a recovering alcoholic and drug addict. Other parts, obviously, I couldn’t fathom! I enjoyed reading your post.

You know, Catherine. I wrote this too far back to remember and I really put my foot in my mouth on this one. Since posting this over two years ago I have listened to the album and I better understand what it’s all about. I actually wrote another post later on down the line where reviewed the album on The Rock Dose. When I wrote this I didn’t totally understand what it was and what it was about. Nikki Sixx and Mötley Crüe is on of the leading frontiers of the Hair-Metal/Glam scene in the 80’s. One of the first.
The book is his Diary during the Girls girls girls and Dr. Feelgood “era”. Man you sound like a nagging mom complaining about her kids listening to music too loud or something. I hate you and I hope you die.. You don’t know what your talking about.
