Jack Osbourne Wants To Fix His Father’s Image

National Television Awards 2007 - Arrivals

Can you blame the him? Four seasons on MTV and everyone in America got a glimpse of what drugs and living with Sharon Osbourne can do to a person’s head. Jack is out to produce a documentary (titled ‘John‘) to perhaps change the worlds perception of Ozzy as the bumbling, shuffling, feeble minded man that he appeared to be on MTV.

“The hard part is getting people to be honest and not have [the documentary] be a fluff piece, because that’s not what we’re trying to do,” said Jack. “I’m trying to paint a realistic picture of who my father is. I think ‘The Osbournes,’ to a degree, tarnished the public’s perception of my dad. I think [it] almost discredited who he is as an artist. My dad’s not an idiot ― he’s nothing short of genius, in my opinion. He does have huge flaws, and we’re trying to really paint an honest picture of that.”

We all know that Ozzy is not the fool that MTV made him out to be and most people respect the work and music that Ozzy has brought us for the the 40 years…with maybe the exception of Black Rain and Ozmosis. I’d like to see the end result of this. At least he’s not trying to make some crappy pop/rock album like his sister. That was disgusting. ʂɰ

So in other words..Everyone forgot about Jack Osborne again so he needs to try to be famous. It was Ozzy’s choice to be on the show for four seasons, and how long ago did the show stop? Don’t quit your day job Jack.

What’s funny is that I think Ozzy is from the same part of London as my grandfather, neither of whom I can understand. Yah he mumbles, but don’t we all sometimes? Also, I don’t think the show ruined Ozzy’s image - If anything it improved it, demonstrating that he’s more of a family man rather than a crazy lunatic who bites the head off of bats.
