You realize they couldn't include any good software without having to pay a whole shitload of extra costs right? You're being unrealistic. It's the producer edition..that means it comes with the master tracks, which it did, and yet you complain. I guess some people will never be happy.

Tour Edition, That's what it's called. Before it came out they said it was going to be the Producer Edition but then changed it to the Tour Edition when it came out, I think. But I know you can find it as "Tour Edition", deluxe or some this like that.

I've already checked Amazon and the Producer edition is the only version of the album I can't find. It was on it a year ago but it isn't now. Unless they randomly decide to put it on again.

I think the multis are great !!! I play guitar so for me they're the ultimate backing tracks...also the isolated guitar is great 'cause you can here the parts so clearly which makes them so much easier to learn...i just wish MORE bands did this sort of thing...anyone know of any other "Producer Edition" type releases ?

Someone please tell me where i can get this online preferably within Uk but i'll get from Usa if needs be. Unlike you lot who are outright fans who got it without realising what it meant, or proper engineers who were disappointed with having full edited drum tracks, I actually want the damned thing so tell me before I download it.

My opinion as a producer is that this is a cool concept, but far from what I expected. Then again, look at the price! When I first heard of it, I expected every track to be absolutely raw audio, and I expected a single kick drum track, a single snare drum track, ect......not a single stereo track that's already been mixed and labeled "Drums". So for that, I was dissapointed.

I loaded this into Adobe Audition (free trial of this software for 30 days for those who don't have software, but then again, Audacity is absolutely free.......so just go grab that if you have nothing), and before I touched any of the virtual faders I hit play to see how it sounded. Without even getting a chance to tweak anything, what came out was the band's original mix. The tracks weren't just pre-mixed, but they were even set to the volume levels they were set to in the original mix. "Another bummer" I thought.

But when I looked at the price, I realized that for under $20 I was getting access to the vocal tracks with no background music, or to the guitar tracks with no music so I could learn the songs, or the drum tracks with no music so I could jam to it on guitar, or to the bass tracks so I could learn the bass parts, ect. That's a hell of a deal for the price.

And even though the mixing is pretty much already done for you, you can still toy with Eq and effects to make it sound different. I did a mix of "walk with me in hell" that took about 15 minutes, and it's up on my myspace for all to hear. myspace.com/hireproductions. In this mix, I dropped the pitch of the vocals just for fun, and I toyed with the eq of all the instruments. I even did a cool "record losing power" effect at the very end. So even if this isn't completely what I was led to believe it was, it's still kinda cool in my opinion!

After all, it was cheap for what you get!

The CD was released and announced for release before the contest. I also announced the contest in a later post. I undersdtand the CD wasn't meant to be a new version. I just thought it would have a little more to it. It's still cool because it has the regular cd and the bare bone tracks too, so thinking about it it's worth the money. Hell, the Regular Sacrament CD is worth every cent.

Everyone seems to have missed the point. LoG had a remix contest. You could get "Redneck" as a free download from their site or get the producer version of the CD if you wanted to use a different song. These versions weren't released for people to listen to, they were released to support the contest. One of the contest sponsors was Garage Band. If you bought it thinking is was a new version of the album I can see being disappointed.
