Mark Morton Says Lamb Of God’s Wrath Will Be "really raw and real-sounding"
November 7, 2008 by Scott
If you didn’t like the excessive over-production of Lamb Of God’s Sacrament, then you just might dig their February 4th release, Wrath. This time the band opted to use Josh Wilber and not “Machine” who produced their last two efforts, Ashes Of The Wake and Sacrament. Mark Morton told MTV.com The metal File:
Certainly, nothing was broke with Machine, who is a phenomenal producer and still a good friend — but this time around, from a purely artistic standpoint, to serve our purpose of trying to really do something a little different, I think it made the most sense to get another angle on the production aspect of it.
So long story short (which you can read at Mtv.com The Metal File) they’re going for some different than the last album. Hopefully Randy won’t go back to the vocal style he was using on New American Gospel and stick with the way he started using on AS Palaces burn. Also I hope we don’t hear too much of that twangy snare, although if anyone can pull it off, it’s Chris Adler. Lars Ulrich has probably listened to some Lamb Of God albums and thought “Why the hell doesn’t anyone give him and crap about it?”. I’ll tell you why, Lars. Because Chris is a much better drummer than you and once you started making millions you only played the drums when you HAD too. I;m definitly looking forward to Wrath.

regardless it’ll be awesome, always nice to have a new album like this on the horizon
cant wait for this album… YEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHH
This Album was amazing…
Lamb of God is the greatest band that ever lived.
I went to the Electric Factory two times back to back as they were there and they were amazing… All the bands were actually really good, with the exeption of Municipal Waste… Im sorry but they got Booooooed both times, but yeah they sucked… Sorry to any of their fans…
Municipal waste is one of the neo-thrash bands that I really don;t care for either.
