Mastodon F’n Rocks At Mayhem Fest

After Walls Of Jericho played I was ready to find a place to sit, and where better than the main Amphitheater to watch Mastodon’s set. 5 Finger Death Punch was playing on the Hot Topic Stage so it was either Mastodon or 5 Finger Death Punch. Seriously…there wasn’t any debate about who I was going to see. I’m not going to get into too much details, but it was amazing.

Afterwards they were supposed to be at the signing tent at 7. My son and I waited as long as we could without missing too much Machine Head and finally gave up to go watch Machine Head and shoot the Hollowed Be Thy Name Footage. Afterwards we went back and got back in line after Mastodon finally got there (Late). As my son and I are about 3 people behind getting in the shit-heads with “Authority” started closing the barricade and I asked why. He said “It said they’re only singing until 7:35″, and I said “They just got here 10 minutes ago.” and Brent and Troy asked them why closed it and told them to open it back up. They were a real cool crew and their show was great I wish I had some good pictures and video from that.

I’m actually pissed that I didn’t bring my hard drive digital camera. I could have got some really good pictures and video, but I wasn’t sure if they would let me bring it in. I’m going to try to bring it to The Carcass Show.

Dragonforce, Disturbed and Slipknot are up next for tomorrow.
