Metalliga is the image of Megadeth in the "Bovine Eye". It is true, Megadeth is difficult and needs some taste and cultivation to enjoy. Those who can't make the effort there is always the plagiarized & diluted version.

You know, Megadeth and/or Dave Mustaine has kept up with the scene enough to know how to evolve then sound of the band but not stray way off course. He knows how to keep it relevant, yet stick to the core sound of Megadeth, even with the not so great albums. And that's why I still dig the band just as much as I did the first time I heard them.

Sure I've had my disappointments but not as much as I have had with other bands that I liked. I knew that Dave would see the reception he got from the album and attempt to make the next one better. United Abominations was good but not as good as earlier albums but it was very listen-able and still get's good rotation from me. I'll say it again that I am very eager to hear what Chris Broderick brings to the mix.
