Metal Martyr iPod Shuffles

August 27, 2008 by Scott

Shufflesymbol There is no really great news to write about and I’m not feeling very creative right now. My neck has a big kink in it. I’d like to say that I messed it up rockin out at a live show or something, but I think I just slept on it wrong. So here I am bored and wanting to write something to close out the evening, so I grabbed my iPod and hit shuffle just to see what the first 25 songs come up. Here is what came up.

  1. Pearl Jam – Who You Are from No Code. Not a song or album that I ever listen to.
  2. Death Angel – The Devil Incarnate from Nuclear Blast 20th Aniversarry. This entire compilation kicks ass. Check it out some time if you haven’t already.
  3. Metallica - Blitzkrieg from Garage Inc.. I liked all the covers on this album.
  4. Fear Factory – Resurrection from Obsolete. Not one of my favorite Fear Factory albums. In fact it’s the last Fear Factory album I bought.
  5. Van Halen – Panama. A VH classic
  6. Skid Row – Rattlesnake Shake. Not one of my favorite Skid Row Songs, but at least it was one of the better ones from back in their day.
  7. Unleashed – Shadows In The Deep
  8. Alice In Chains – Man In The Box from Facelift. A timeless classic AIC song.
  9. Kiss – Do You Love Me. One of the worse songs from the only Kiss album I own, Double Platinum.
  10. In Flames – Condemned from Sense Of Purpose. I used to listen to this quite a bit when it came out earlier this year
  11. Gun’s N Roses – New Rose from The Spaghetti Incident. Meh.
  12. Green Day – Good Riddance. I’m almost ashamed that that’s on there.
  13. Slayer – SS-3 from Divine Intervention. I can honestly say that I never listen to this album
  14. AC/DC – TNT. I used to love AC/DC back when I was a sophomore in high school.
  15. The Black Dahlia Murder – Warborn from Nocturnal. I love this band lately. Looking forward to see what else they have out there.
  16. Led Zeppelin – Ramble On. Before I got into AC/DC I was a Zeppelin junkie. I would listen to Zeppelin every day…on cassette.
  17. Korn - Good God from Life Is Peachy. I can not remember the last time I listened to this album.
  18. Minor Threat – Out Of Step. Short Lived but great straight edge band
  19. Slayer – Silent Scream from my favorite Slayer record South Of Heaven.
  20. Tom Petty – Into The Great Wide Open. I love a little Tom Petty every now and then. Great musician. Ugly dude, but great musician.
  21. D.R.I. – I Don’t Need Society
  22. Mushroomhead – Bwomp from XX
  23. Metallica – Dyers Eve, probably my favorite song from …And Justive For All.
  24. Queen – These Are The Days
  25. Rebel Meets Rebel – Get Outta My Life. It was nice to hear some more Dimebag stuff after his death…even if it was with David Allen Coe.

There are some really cool tunes even after 25, but I’d be here all night and sooner or later something rather embarrassing might pop up that I won;t want to share…
