Metallica New Album Update
Ultimate-guitar.com posted an update from Lars Ulrich assistant, Steve Wiig. Interestingly enough…I have nothing bad to say. It actually has me beleiving that this could be a good record! Steve Wiig: There’s some stuff on there that sounds a little bit closer to the “Fade to Black” / “Sanitarium” / “One”-style. the clean riff thing, a great melody. Verse stuff with the heavy chorus and the ending blows the shit out of the roof. It’s cool to hear them doing that kind of thing again. That’s what Rick Rubin has been saying; don’t be afraid of doing more of what you do really well. Don’t try to reinvent the wheel. Just make a really good Metallica album.”

Wow…from the interview, sounds like this could really end up being a good album!
“Fade to Black” / “Sanitarium” / “One”-style. songs would definitely make me happy. But I’m not going to get my hopes up or anything just yet…only time will tell if Metallica can pull it off.

I will wait for the album. everybody keep saying st. anger would be great but it bite hard. lars sounds like he is hitting a tin can in a 4×4 room with one mike. “Ltc”

i cant believe no-ones heard any of the songs yet. i have and they rock. like a cross of ride and masters. my buddy has a copy of like 9 tracks and i hope they make it on the album. i cant wait to buy it!!!

I remember before ST Anger came out there were a bunch of “New Metallica” songs floating around the net and they all sounded pretty cool but a lot of them didn’t quite sound like Metallica…and then when saint anger came out it was like someone took a large crap in your ears. None of those songs…were on the cd. Go figure.

I have high hopes for this album heard the “tease” and so far its ok. I think the lyrics are weak but as far as the guitar riffs go everything is all in all pretty good. Im hoping this will really get things back on track. Once i heard St Anger I was lost as a metallica fan and for awhile HATED them. So, can’t wait!

Nobody Has Heard Any Of The Songs From The Album Cause Metallica Fired Jason Newsted Who Was Selling Their Shit Before Release These So Called Teasers You Have Are Not Metallica At ALL They Are A Christian Band Named Eternal Decision,…Thats Right…LARS HAS THE ONLY RECORDINGS OF ANY OF THESE TRACKS..and if you think he is going to loan them to someone who will just Upload them to a Torrent Or P2P Site Your Stupid As Fuck…Metallica Rocks Have Some Faith Boys…The New Album Will Be The SHIT!!!! Just Be Patient!!!!

Yeah, we ‘ll see about that, but honestly i been having too much faith and nothing happen, so don’t get too excited, don’t get me wrong but i’m a big Metallica fan too, but when St. Anger came out i was like what to hell did this guys do and then i just gave up on new Metallica Stuff. As far as Metallica new Songs being somewhere on line, i doubt it, since they fought the online piracy, specially Lars.

it’s expected. People are going to tag songs as “New Metallica” and people will download them.
And you know they are going to be the tightest when it comes to releasing it early or leaks. They won’t allow that to happens. Shit’s gonna be under lock and key till the release day.
