Metallica’s Death Magnetic WILL Be Released On A Friday

I previously reported that Metallica’s Death Magnetic was to be released on September 16th. It has been clarified that it will actually be a worldwide release on Friday September 12th as St. Anger was also released on a Friday. Normally CD’s are released on a Tuesday in the U.S. and everyone that saw that it was to be released in Europe assumed (Yeah, I know) that it would follow up the Tuesday after for the U.S. release date. Personally I think this is to avoid it being leaked on the Internet and people in the U.S. and other places illegally downloading it before buying it whether they have intent to buy or not. But if people really want to illegally download it, it doesn’t matter what day it comes out. Look for Death Magnetic in stores everywhere September 12th.
