ON March 5th as most of you know I had a chance to sit down with Light This City’s front-woman Laura Nichol and drummer Ben Murray. We discussed a few things such as what they do on their spare times, respectively, touring out of a van, and politics. Light This City has been on the road in Support of the third album Facing The Thousand. Enjoy the video interview!

Great stuff! I definitely enjoyed them talking about their personal preferences, influences, etc. I found it pretty cool that Laura talked about Hayley Wiliams and Paramore, since I used to have a huge crush on Hayley haha, and I still listen to them from time to time. And hearing that one of her influences was Trevor Strnad from The Black Dahlia Murder, is just awesome!
Light This City put on such a good performance last time, and Laura’s vocals were amazing. I really hope they come by the Jersey area again.

She was trying to convince me to check out the new Black Dahlia Murder CD. I haven’t heard it but I plan on checking it out sometime. The audio is kinda shitty in all the interviews. Next time I plan on doing the interviews kinda like Julya from fuse used to with the camera in my hand…we’ll see. Laura’s really cool, like any other girl. Not trying to be too cool or too metal…just like any other girl. And she’s a beautiful woman. Ben is a handsome dude too, in a totally heterosexual way. I don’t know if they have something going on, I didn’t think it was my business to ask.

Yea, you should definitely listen to the new Black Dahlia Murder CD (it’s sick!) The audio in this one isn’t too bad. The ATR ones kind of had some background noise, not sure if it was from the bus or the camera. I think an external microphone or a boom mic would fix the issue though. and yes, they are some good lookin folks!

Yeah, the Bus was running and we were all the way in the back where the engine is so it got a lot of background noise. I think I need to read the Camera’s instructions to tweak the audio.
