Ministry And Co-Conspiritors’ Cover-Up

by User ImageMetal Martyr on March 27th, 2008

untitled.bmpThis is a genre I don’t think I have ever covered on Metal Martyr because there is already an Industrial Music Channel here at b5Media. Now some people would argue that Ministry is Insustrial and I’m not sure what else to call it because that’s what it sounds like to me.

Anyway, Al Jourgensen put together a cover album with contributers such as Fear Factory, Prong and the Late Paul Raven. Here is the actual press release:

With the April 1st release of Ministry and Co-ConspiratorsCover Up on the horizon, Al Jourgensen and company are giving fans a chance to preview the album before release date. Effective today, a lengthy track featuring 30 second samples of every song on Cover Up is available at the official Ministry Myspace page. Loaded with contributions from Revolting Cocks’ Sin Quirin and Josh Bradford, Burton C. Bell of Fear Factory, Prong’s Thomas Victor, and the late, great Paul Raven, Cover Up is a star-studded collection of vintage rock covers. Everyone from Deep Purple, to ZZ Top, to the Stones get a classic Ministry send-up, and it’s all available to hear on Myspace right now.

some of the covers are pretty amazing, big improvement on “Radar Love” and “Black Betty” is great,as an old Dylan fan “Lay Lady Lay” made me cringe a bit,but I think Louis Armstrong would probably appreciate this version of “Wonderful World”
