Misfits Reunion In The Works…Or Just More Stupid Rumors?
November 10, 2008 by Scott
Metal Hammer reports that The Misfits recently reopened The Fiend Club. What does this mean? Well it could mean a few things. First it could mean, well…that the Misfits Fiend Club is open again. It could also mean that a reunion is in the works…or it could mean that Jerry Only has hired 3 or 4 other dudes to play along side him and once again use the Misfits name while making a mockery of what was once a “Legacy Of Brutality” (shameless pun intended). If we can expect a reunion I doubt it will be of the kind with original singer Glenn Danzig, but maybe a reunion with Michael Graves and Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein (You named your daughter what???) and whoever they decide to play drums. Or it could just mean that Jerry needs some cash, hell I don’t know.
With Danzig on The Blackest Of The Black Tour and Doyle currently touring in support of the gawd-awful “Gorgeous Frankenstein”, a real Misfits reunion is not likely to happen anytime soon. From the beginning, the Misfits line-up has changed and has a ‘former members’ list almost as big Glenn’s ego. I would drive well out of my way to see a full fledged reunion tour if it did happen. We’ll just have to wait and see what’s going to happen, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
I wonder if Doyle has to sign everything with that full name?

as awesome as a reunion would be, i really doubt it would happen. it really isn’t the misfits without danzig and i can’t see him headin back to the misfits for a tour or two.
Jerry is not that bad.. he’s really devoted to the fans, he isn’t a half bad singer and at least he’s trying to maintain the band. I even don’t mind the project 1950 album. It’s not like he just grabbed any joe blow off the street, he has two talented dudes alongside. They are coming to my hometown nov 6, and Im still going to see them.. I think Jerry is adorable. Can’t wait to meet him.
