MP3 Virus

I keep hearing about an MP3 Virus that supposedly destroys MP3s on your PC as well as anything attached to your PC. This of course scares me because I have a few MP3’s on an external hard drive and if I lose them I will lose quite a bit of stuff I don’t have on CD. There are people that suspect it may have been made by the RIAA, who knows. These days most people buy MP3’s so it can be a finncial loss as well Anyway you can read a full article from Ultimate-guitar.com here (MP3 Virus).
I wouldn’t put it past the RIAA personally. The full story says it’s more likely to be a teenager, which prompts the question “What’s the motive?”
You know teenagers, they don’t need motives for stuff like this, thats why they are going to say it is a teenager…who knows
