No System Of A Down Future?
February 24, 2008 by Scott
System Of A Down Guitarist Daron Malakian (Or former for that matter) recently told MTV.com:
“There’s no talk of System doing anything. We’re not planning on doing anything. If anyone’s holding their breath for a System record, they’re going to turn blue and pass out. It’s a long ways away, if it ever even happens. We don’t even talk about it – none of us. This (Scars on Broadway) is my band right now.“
Now I don’t know about the rest of you but this doesn’t really disappoint me. I like a few songs off of their first CD, a few off of Toxicity and a few from Mezmerize. There were just a lot of songs on every record that are just intolerable. It was something different while it lasted. I have yet to hear anything from Serj’s new solo project and I’m not eager to either. Too bad, so sad, everyone is moving on. And for the record… SOAD is a terrible Live show.

SOAD were good back in the day when they released their self titled album and then Toxicity but then all of a sudden they just went weird. They started releasing tracks that were just plain stupid and I skipped quite regularly.
There is only so much “lalalala” “lalalala” you can take. SOAD should have quit when they released Hypnotize & Mesmerize.

Not disappointing at all for me. Toxicity wasn’t bad, but after that, I really just lost my interest in them and couldn’t stand to listen to any of their songs.
