Old School Review: Slayer’s Undisputed Attitude
December 26, 2007 by Scott
Slayer’s Undisputed Attitude came out a couple of years after Divine Intervention, an album that I still to this day don’t care for. Released on American Recordings in 1996 Undisputed Attitude wasn’t a cover album that you would expect to hear, especially from Slayer. You know Slayer always does awesome cover songs, it doesn’t matter what the song it. They could take Billy Ray Cyrus’s Achy Breacky Heart and Make it cool.
Anyway, UA is a collection of cover songs from Punk, Straight Edge and Cross-over bands like D.I., D.R.i, Minor Threat, T.S.O.L and Jeff Hanneman’s side project. Even if you don’t like any of those genres I can almost guarantee if your a Slayer fan you will like Undisputed Attitude. Gemini being the only original on the record is a great Slayer tune and is said to have been excluded from Divine Intervention. Short to say the least, I think this is shorter than Reign In Blood. Fast, brutal and to the point.
Below is a link to Amazon and a Youtube.com video of Slayer playing Gemini live at 1998’s Monster Of Rock. Enjoy

I love this album. I realize it will never happen but every Slayer show I go to I hope and pray for them to play ” Abolish Government “. What a great song, what a killer album.
I don’t think there is a cover album to date that can hold a match to this one.
