Old School Review:

June 19, 2007 by Scott

Ok, so every now and then I’m going to dig into the library and pull out some old album and do a review on it. It seems like a pretty cool thing to do and it may even bring light to recordings of the past that some newer metal-heads haven’t heard. Also I’ll touch base on CD’s that I took a chance buying without ever hearing or hearing of and was either blown away or thoroughly disgusted or disappointed with. You guys know what I’m talking about. The CD that stood out with a cool name and cool cover. You buy it hoping for it to be the best thing since internet porn and once you push play and…and you want to pierce your ear drums with a rusty railroad spike! I think we have all done this at least once in our life time. Well I can honestly say I’ve done it more times than I’d like to admit.

Anyway, keep a look out for stuff like that and a “Where are they now?” type blog. Expect the unexpected; except for the obvious…I’m not going to post any Chris Daughtry or MCR Blogs. I’m going to keep it simple and to the point. I’m not going to ponder on how the singer captures the essence of his inner peace when he sings the song about his ex-girlfriends gold fish dying. That’s not me. If it rocks it rocks, sucks it sucks, if it’s a mediocre record that you don’t want to waste your money on and borrow/burn it from some poor sap that spent his/her money on then I’m going to tell you so. I’m no expert on CD reviews but I will give my utmost personal opinion on it. If you think otherwise, then let me know but lets be mature about it. Not one of those “It sucks ‘cause it’s not my favorite band. And your stupid!” type posts.
