Papsmear…Seriously?

Seriously? You name your band Papsmear? Perhaps I’m alone here when I say that even though I’m a long time fan of metal, I never heard of a band called “Papsmear”.
Not only that, but this part of how the band is described on Blabbermouth.net:
“Hailing from Las Vegas the band released some seminal recordings”
Once again, I say…Papsmear? Really? Up next I will bring you the full discography of veteran hair metal band, Proctology. They’ve got an ass-load of albums out that nobody knows about because they all stink!
Shortly after that we’ll look in to the brief history of the underground hardcore band Yeast Infection. The band only lasted about a week before they added a few more members and changed their name to The Monistat 7.
I think I could think of a thousand better names for a band than Papsmear.

You guys can make fun all you want but at one time they were the best and most popular band in Las Vegas………..and if you heard the music you wouldn t be making fun!
Perhaps they would have been bigger if they didn’t have such a silly name.
Ans yes I would still poke fun of the name, I just wouldn’t make fun of the music.
Foo Fighters is a silly name too. You know what? Gene Simmons told this to press himself. But he loves their music….
