Pre-Order Light This City’s Stormchaser

All thought the band is no more, the music lives on in their last and posthumous release, Stormchaser. Light This City’s 3rd and last studio record on the Prosthetic label, finished shortly before they announced their disbanding mid-tour. It’s a shame to see a band that was only at it’s beginning, go their separate ways. Maybe it’s not totally over and we’ll see something in the future, but don;t get your hopes up. Here’s the word from Prosthetic Records:
LIGHT THIS CITY have begun pre-orders for the bands forthcoming swansong, Stormchaser, online here. The album will see a Nov. 11 release through Prosthetic Records and marks LIGHT THIS CITY’s first posthumous release following the band’s hiatus announced earlier this summer.
The album’s music was finished and artist Kristian Wåhlin (Emperor, Dissection, The Black Dahlia Murder) had completed artwork for the effort, so a release was scheduled as the band’s fourth full-length and third for home Prosthetic Records since LIGHT THIS CITY’s birth in 2002. A new track from Stormchaser, "Sand And Snow," is available on the band’s MySpace page.

for some reason, it always bugs me when they say “hiatus”. just there to give fans some sick hope of them coming back.
Yeah, I don’t know why they would say that when the band made it very clear that they were disbanding. You never know. Maybe if sales on this album go well, they will decide to do something in support. But honestly I don’t see this selling more than a few thousand in it’s first week. I’m sure it’s probably a really good album, but they didn’t get their name out there enough with time and touring for it to take off like others have.
