Review: ADAI …I Carry EP

June 22, 2008 by Scott

ADAI...Icarry ADAI’s …I Carry EP is more of an instrumental metal EP. …I Carry is kind of a groove metal ensemble. The Duet of Devin Mendoza and Justin Trujillo put together a complex, yet simple rocking EP in …I Carry. The reason I say it is more of an instrumental is because even when the vocals are present, it is very hard to hear or understand them. I have a boat load of cd’s where I don’t understand what the hell they are saying but the vocals on this are not only incomprehensible but so drowned out by the guitars and drums that it’s easily misconceived as just back ground noise. Its more of a low tone, drawn out growl.

With that said, I still really like ADAI’s …I Carry. The longest songs on the EP are Home and Hawkins both ranging in the 7.7 to 8.5 minute range but keep it interesting. The EP is over before you know it and you’re back to track one and still diggin the music. If your interested, check out ADAI at http://www.myspace.com/adai.
