Scrap Metal Report 3/9/09

Here are a few pieces of metal news worth a mention that I don’t feel like writing full articles about.

• Bravewords.com reports that The Dong Open Air Festival in Neukirchen-Vluyn, Germany on July 17th through the 19th, sold in in 4 hours. You can find out what bands are performing at Dong at www.dongopenair.de. I’m sorry, but my juvenile mind chuckles every time I say “Dong Open Air“.
• Megadeth will be headlining America’s first Revolver Golden Gods Awards on April 17th in Los Angeles. 
• Metal Injection just premiered Rumpelstiltskin Grinder’s new video “Nothing Defeats The Skull” video. Check that out at MetalInjection.net. They also recapped their Scion Rock Fest experience.
• Hatebreed will be filming the video for their cover of Slayer’s Ghosts Of War from their upcoming cover album, For The Lions. Hatebreed will also be performing at the Revolver Golden Gods Award show.
• In This Moment’s Maria Brink will be on XM/Sirius Radio’s Playboy morning show tomorrow (March 10th, 2009). Maria didn’t pose in a nude pictorial, but she can be seen in this classy picture from Bravewords.com. You can learn more about the Plaboy Morning Show here.
