Set The World Afire: Megadeth Anthology
September 26, 2008 by Scott
I know I covered this once awhile ago, but sometimes things get forgotten about and I received this press today about it again. I didn’t realize it was coming out so soon.
Following the successful release of the coveted Warchest box set, Megadeth is back with the career-spanning 2-CD and digital collection Anthology: Set The World Afire out September 30th on Capitol/EMI. Set the World Afire is comprised of 35 genre defining tracks from one of the most influential and iconic metal bands of all time. Aside from featuring Megadeth’s greatest hits the ” Also included in the set are rare 1992 concert recordings of “Peace Sells” and “Symphony of Destruction,” previously available only in limited release, the latter having never been released in the U.S. “High Speed Dirt” is a demo version, previously unreleased. Track list after the fold…

Woot….I love Megadeth. I think they could’ve went further into Killing Is My Business, but these tracks are good…..
well they took a little bit from each disk. Not too bad for a 2 disk set. I wish they would do a full blown REAL box set instead of this half-ass stuff they have been doing with the Warchest and such.
Nack when I bought that thing and then gave it away I almost bought two of them just so I would have one for myself…I didn’t. Wish I had. I just want to guy the complete remasters.
Any news on whether this will be released outside of the US? Us British Megadeth fans need to be thrown a bone once in a while!
I’ll email the PR see what I can find out for you, Dave.
