Slayer Has Named The New Album

They just haven’t said what it’s going to be yet. I’m sure it will be about hell, Satan, Jesus-hating, etc. That’s their schtick. Kerry King talked to Metalhammer.de, the German Metal Hammer in a video interview that can be seen here. The questions are translated in English and the video quality is really good.
King says that the summer 2009 release date of their next album is “Optimistic” he also expresses his dislike for Rick Ruben’s producing style, being a “Phantom” producer. Well he’s not the first to say this. Corey Taylor talked about Ruben not being there as often as he should be for the amount of money he gets paid. We’re starting to see a rhythm here with Ruben.

When I read that they named the new album, I came over to see what it was…..darn it, they haven’t released it yet. Alas, we wait.
Yeah….my bad. I didn’t realize how deceiving that was until after I posted it.
I wonder what Rick Ruben is doing with his extra time. Probly spending all that cash.
Im suprised anyone gives him credit for producing the records, if reubens never there, then isnt it Slayer just producing the Album? this doesnt suprise me one bit, all ego gettin to his head. all he is is a fat lazy slob.
Then New Slayer Cd’s name dosen’t Really sound like a “Slayer” Cd if you catch my drift: Optimistic….Dosen’t really sound like A name slayer would use(considering that CDs b4 this had names like God Hates Us All, Christ Illusion, Reign In Blood, South Of Heaven ETC) So I’m Literally Optimistic abouth this CD….
He never said the albums name is “Optimistic” he’s says it’s optimistic.

But yeah, if they named the new album “Optimistic” I probably wouldn’t buy it. I’m sure it will be some evil sounding name.
I still can’t find the name of the new album, yet the release date is crawling up my ass. Why can’t they tell us?
