Slipknot Announces Their 10th Anniversary Box Set
July 18, 2009 by Eric J
I am a fan of Slipknot. A huge fan. There it is, it’s out in the open, the new blogger for Metal Martyr is a Slipknot fan. I actually think that Slipknot is the group that brought me back to metal music, at a time when I felt that metal was dead. Say what you will, but on June 29th, 1999, they stormed onto the scene with their self titled debut album. Today, despite a few bumps along the way, they are still going strong.
Roadrunner will soon be releasing their 10th Anniversary Box Set, and the band would like to introduce it to you below:

I really don’t feel that there is any shame in being a Slipknot fan these days. Most people that are Slipknot fans are also fans of many other great bands. It’s the ones that know no other except Slipknot that should be ashamed. I was the same way in ‘99. It seemed there wasn’t much going on in metal at the time(even though there was and I just didn’t know it) and the self titled album was a good change of pace. Unfortunately it’s popularity and the rise of nu-metal at the time was leaving a bad taste in most metal fan’s mouths. I can’t say that I’ll run right out and buy this on the release date, but I’ll be curious to see what it has to offer.
Thanks, Scott. I am actually looking forward to this release, and curious about what all will be included. However, if it’s just a “classics” disk and another badly made video full of fade outs and bugs, I’m going to be one highly pissed off reviewer.
God I hope it’s nothing like their last DVD. Disasterpieces was great but inside the 9 was terrible.
999 is the emergency services number…maybe when they come to england again people will be using that number more than anything…
btw…together for another 10 years? oh
i hoped they would go forever and ever and ever…
when the fuck is it being released?!
9.9.9, September 9, 2009

Too funny, dude.
It’s almost becoming “uncool” to like Slipknot at all anymore. I don’t understand the hate, personally. In 1999, metal fans couldn’t get enough of Slipknot, now it’s taboo to enjoy their music. To hell with it, I’ll be uncool. I love the shit out of some Slipknot.
man i just found out about this omg where the effin hell have i been hidin haha …. slipknot is a hetic band so awsome like heaps n heaps ay so i want 2 know how many albums do they have all together and dvds aswell??? i cant seem 2 find a straight anwser anywhere….
