Demi Lovato is a Metalhead

Demi Lovato is a Metalhead

I never thought I would be making a post about Demi Lovato on Metal Martyr, but yes, I am. I found this video over at Metal Insider, and just had to share it.

If you don’t know who Demi Lovato is, she stars in the Disney show “Sonny with a Chance“, and was in the movie “Camp Rock“. She’s sweet, she’s perky… she digs Job for a Cowboy, Abigail Williams and Maylene and the Sons of Disaster. At 3:10, she tells Jimmy Fallon who he should book on his show.

God Dethroned Tours With Abigail Williams And Woe Of Tyrants.

God Dethroned Tours With Abigail Williams And Woe Of Tyrants.

I can not express how good of an album God Dethroned’s Passiondale is. As a concept album it is perhaps one of the best I’ve seen in awhile, besides Mastodon’s Crack The Skye. It’s heavy and the story unfolds as you listen. Check it out if you get a chance.
God Dethroned is heading out on a double handful of dates with Abigail Williams, Woe Of Tyrants and Augury later this year in September and October. I’d love to go but they aren’t coming anywhere near me unless I drive for 4 hours or so. Maybe I will.

Abigail Williams Headlining Winter Tour Dates

Abigail Williams have announced a good handful of winter U.S. headlining tour dates beginning at the end of this month. Abigail Williams is on tour in support In The Shadow Of A Thousand Suns, which saw it’s release in October of last year on Candlelight Records. On support is Rose Funeral, Burning The Masses and The Breathing Process.
Just out of curiosity and because I’m not a fan and have never cared what their name meant, I looked it up on Wikipedia. It’s interesting. Apparently Abigail Williams (The girl, not the band) is one of the reasons for the Salem …read more

Today’s North American Releases 10/28/08

Holy crap, there is so much stuff coming out today. On a side note, before I get started the new (and last from the bad) Light This City Stormchaser will be coming on November 11th. I got a review copy the other day and I’m really diggin it. I’ll write up a review later in the week. AC/DC has sold over 3/4 of a million copies of their new album Black Ice in the U.S. alone and over 5 million copies worldwide. That’s some crazy numbers. It’s a cool rock album if you dig AC/DC. I’ll be transcribing the Opeth …read more
