Sepultura’s Guitarist Andreas Kisser Releases Video From Solo Debut
August 12, 2009 by Eric J
Andreas Kisser, guitarist of Brazil’s Sepultura has released his video of “Em Busca Do Ouro”, a song from his solo debut album titled Hubris I & II. The album was released June 15th via Mascot Records.
In regards to the album, Kisser states:
“I’m very pleased with the result and I’m excited to hear it all done. It was a long process, a learning process and a great experience. It’s a musical journey through the influences I had for last 15 years of my life and at the same time it’s very different from everything I did so far.”

Andreas Kisser:"It is always hard to change a member, especially such great musicians like Max"
I bet Andreas Kisser would love to be interviewed without being asked about Max Cavalera, if not just once. I would also bet that Max would love, just once, to be interviewed without being asked about a Sepultura reunion. In the excerpt below, MetalPaths.com interviewed Sepultura’s Andreas Kisser. I only quoted two of three parts where the Cavalera word was dropped.
Have you listened to the “Cavalera Conspiracy” debut album? Do you think that maybe one day will happen to co-operate again with Max and Igor?
I’ve heard the album, it is not bad but they could do a lot …read more
Check Out Andreas Kisser’s New Solo Song
October 2, 2008 by Scott
I’ve always thought that Andreas Kisser is highly under-rated guitar player so I’m quite eager to hear his solo work in full. I always liked his style in Sepultura, even the newer stuff but I still can’t get used to Derrick Green’s vocals. Just not happenin’. His solo album Hubris I & II is due out October 6th According to BW&BK but I can’t seem to find a release date for it) and you can check out the track Eu Humana at Andreas’ Myspace.

The Scrap Metal Report 7/30
July 30, 2008 by Scott
Time for another quick Scrap Metal Report. I went to see the Brooklyn, NY based band Early man last night so I’m kind of tired after getting home at 1 am and getting up for work at 6am. You’ll see the results of that here in a bit. Let’s get started so maybe IO can get a good night’s sleep. Sleep? Who needs that, right? I do. It’s going to be a long day Friday at Mayhem Fest and If I don’t catch up a little tonight I’ll be draggin’ ass in Virgina Beach.
There is a new Ozzy impersonator on …read more
Forgotten Shredders | Andreas Kisser
March 19, 2008 by Scott
Or perhaps a forgotten shredder. I was on my way home after helping my brother move some stuff and I was listening to Dead Embryonic Cells. A Sepultura classic from the Arise album. Singing along in my best Max, I almost forgot for awhile how much I used to love the way Andreas Kisser played. Even though most of the rhythms are fairly easy, his solos always ripped!
