The show that everyone has been wondering about for months is actually going to happen.
Metal legends Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer (known as “The Big Four“) will be sharing the stage together for the first time in history. The Big Four are confirmed so far for Sonisphere Poland and Czech Republic, with more Sonisphere appearances planned.

Metal Hammer spoke exclusively with Scott Ian today about Dan Nelson’s departure from Anthrax, working with John Bush again, and the future of Anthrax in general.  The controversial back and forth about Dan Nelson’s firing, I mean quitting, oops, I mean illness is actually getting quite old.
In my opinion, while talented, Dan Nelson wasn’t with Anthrax long enough for the story of his leaving to warrant more than 3 days or so of front page metal news. So unless John Bush decides to permanently rejoin the band, I’ll probably leave this story with Scott Ian’s words.

I don’t think that yesterday’s news of Dan Nelson’s resignation from Anthrax took anyone by surprise, but today brings new information, in the form of the following statement released by Dan:

On the advice of counsel, I have remained silent to the statements issued by Anthrax in recent days and now must address these issues to my loyal fans and others. I want to set the record straight.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, Metallica are getting inducted in to the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame this coming week. We get it, already. My question is; what metal band do you think should be inducted in the Rock & Roll hall Of Fame?
Off of the top of my head I can think of two bands that should get inducted, well before Metallica, such as Judas Priest and Iron Maiden. Anthrax Sound Of White Noise
In 1993 I was a BMG Music member and they sent Anthrax’s Sound Of White Noise to me because I didn’t respond to that bullshit scam they have been playing for years with the Featured Selection. My mom wanted me to send it back, but it was some new music and I kept it. I would listen to it every now and then because I liked the song Black Lodge and Only that they played on the radio.

I can honestly say that I have not been to as many Metal shows as some people, but the ones I have been to have been some of the most memorable moments in my life. The last show I was at was the ATR show at the beginning of this month and I’m sure your all tired of hearing me talk about that by now. When it comes to the basics of Metal there are the staple foods of heavy metal that everyone should experience. If I was to recommend some bands the a metal newcomer that is new to the music and has had his/her interest peaked by a band or two, I would recommend the basics.
