The 13th Annual Hollywood Film Festival’s “Hollywood Awards” ceremony was held last night before a standing-room-only audience of over 1,100 Hollywood Film Festival attendees at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.
The winners of the festival’s film competition were announced Sunday night at the Hollywood Discovery Awards Presentation Ceremony at ArcLight Cinemas in Hollywood. This year’s winners are:

According to Bravewords.com this morning, As I Lay Dying’s new DVD, This Is Who We Are, released last week has sold 4200 in the United States and has gone platinum…oh, excuse me, it has “Shipped” platinum in Canada. So does that mean that they actually SOLD enough of the DVDs to go platinum or enough stores have bought it and it’s shipped enough from the label to be considered platinum.

A couple of weeks ago it was, I mentioned a tour with Lamb Of God kicking off in support of their upcoming album Wrath that Metal Hammer had announced but had yet to have any dates. Metal Hammer Magazine is reporting that Lamb Of God are gearing up for a U.S. Mega-tour after their headlining gigs on the Defenders Of The Faith 2 tour.  Although I haven’t been able to find anything else on this, I would love to see this concert come to life. Lamb Of God, Children Of Bodom, As I Lay Dying and God Forbid would be an awesome show. Venue’s are going to be sold out and packed to the brim for this one. I mentioned this yesterday and I said I was going to do a review for Friday but I can’t wait that long because simply this record kicks so much ass and I want everyone to know it. Austrian Death Machine…WTF? I don’t have a clue what any of this sounds like but a lot of people are raving about it and it’s Tim Lambesis’ of As I Lay Dying’s creation, so it can’t be that bad.
