One album I forgot about that came out yesterday was Seventh Void’s Heaven Is Gone. Seventh Void is one of the newest acquisitions for Vinnie Paul Abbott’s label, Big Vin Records. Seventh Void features Kenny Hickey of Type-O Negative fame on guitar and vocals, Johnny Kelly on drums, also of Type-O fame. On guitar they also have Matt Brown from NYC based industrial band Uranium 235 and Hank Hell of Inhuman on Bass.

You know, some times I have a tough time describing a bands sound. Unless it’s totally obvious, there are times where you just can’t nail it down. Now…what if someone explained the sound of a bad as; “somewhere between SOUNDGARDEN meets BLACK SABBATH meets a little AUDIOSLAVE, with some TYPE O thrown in there“? Makes you kind of scratch your head, right? I mean, if it wasn’t for the Type O and Black Sabbath in that comment I would have zero interest in another band sounding like SG and AS.
Stupid Auction Of The Week: Bid On Big Vin’s Very First Cell Phone

I have a lot of respect for Vinnie Paul Abbott, but this is stupid. Apparently this old cell phone comes with 6 batteries, a charger, a mobile charger and is signed in numerous places. I’d be more interested in an autographed Crown Royal cap like the one he’s wearing.
You may remember him selling and autographed oven last summer. I guess the high bidder couldn’t follow through with the deal and was called a “Fake Bidder”.
Dimebag Darrell: He Came To Rock

Last week I bought “Get Thrashed: The Story Of Thrash Metal“. I had a problem with the DVD though. It was unbalanced or something. It wouldn’t play correctly in a standard DVD player, but would play fine in my Laptop. I took it back to exchange it for another copy today, but they were all out. Instead they gave me credit and let me exchange it for something else so I found the new Dimebag Darrell book He Came To Rock.
