THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER’s first video from the forthcoming album ‘Deflorate’ now available exclusively through Revolver Magazine!
Los Angeles, CA – September 4, 2009 – Head over to Revolver Magazine to check out the exclusive premier of THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER’s first video from Deflorate for the track Necropolis, which was filmed by Robbie Tassaro (director of the band’s DVD Majesty). Deflorate, the follow up to the band’s 2007 release Nocturnal, will be released on September 15th 2009 (pre-orders still available HERE).

Vocalist Trevor Strnad comments; “We are excited to bring you the debut of our new video Necropolis by way of the kind folks at Revolver magazine. We filmed this one at the Garden Bowl in Detroit Michigan early in the morning…we want to thank everyone that was involved for getting drunk at 10am. Bear witness to the horror of 1,000 gutter balls! THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER are gearing up to get back out on the road and will be heading out on a direct support slot with Children of Bodom (9/18 – 10/12). Once THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER finishes up their run of dates with Bodom they will hit the road for their first headline run in concurrence with the release of Deflorate. Support on BDM’s headline run will come from Skeletonwitch, Toxic Holocaust, and Trap Them on a month long trek across the US.

Deflorate was produced by The Black Dahlia Murder, Mark Lewis (Deicide) and Jason Suecof (Beneath The Massacre, Job For A Cowboy) with mixing duties handled by Suecof. Deflorate is multifaceted death trip: beautiful, evil, and morbidly addicting. Let me tell you, I’ve only watched the first disc with the behind the scenes content and I loved it. If you’re a BDM fan and haven’t got it yet then you’re missing out on a lot of fun.

Here’s what vocalist Trevor Strnad had to say about reaching the #2 and #5 spots on the Billboard Top Music Videos Charts; “We in The Black Dahlia Murder are completely ecstatic about the reception of our first DVD release for Metal Blade Records, Majesty! I won’t lie and say that I had no expectations of the release; throughout its creation I had an inkling that we may be onto something. Having the second highest charting music DVD in the states and the fifth highest in Canada is more than enough proof that I was right!
